ON BLOGSPOT

First off, describe yourself in 5 words…
Oh yikes 5 words? That's next to impossible especially for me ha! I am a little bit of a nut sometimes so I feel like I'm always changing. I will say that this past holiday my boyfriend spoiled me with wildfox clothes and one of the items was a sweatshirt that read "Wild heart" he told me he had to get it because it just screamed Stephanie.

What or who inspires you most and why?
I read a lot of fashion blogs like every other girl on the planet but definitely the weather. I become somewhat of a drone when it's cold out and as soon as the weather gets nice I go crazy rocking oversized t's and such. I have become pretty fond of tumblr and am a devote reader of aussieswag and c0ralreefs. I absolutely love the pictures I see on there.

Whats your usual outfit?
In the fall and winter months I usually can be seen wearing ripped leggings or tights with black combat boots an oversized t with a grandma sweater. Maybe a maxi skirt if I'm feeling snazzy. In the summer I live in bandeaus and ripped jean shorts. I hate the look of rubber flip flops so I tend to stick to combat boots, converse, or some gladiators. Beach hair always and forever.
Typical weekend?
Typical weekend? Never the same routine. My favorite weekends would have to be seeing The Lawsuits (www.myspace.com/thelawsuits) dancing to the amazing melodies of Brian Strouse with a whisky diet in hand and my boy and my friends by my side. Wake up the next day, hit up brunch at Fred's Breakfast Club then go flea marketing and maybe a spontaneous trip to the beach or NYC or Philadelphia.

Any favorite books, movies, or bands?
My favorite books are the Weetzie Bat collection. Everytime I read them I find myself identifying with Weetzie in many ways. I read a lot of Bukowski and love what a mad man he was. Finding Alaska is another favorite! My favorite movies is Almost Famous of course. Favorite bands would have the be The Lawsuits, Ground Up, Drink Up Buttercup, LCD Soundsystem, Animal Collective, Man Man and Minus the Bear.

What are your must have accessories for spring?
I'm a big bracelet fan, my left wrist is covered in friendship bracelets. I wear chunky turquoise pieces and of course jewelry by Queen but no Crown.

Designer or non designer threads?
Non designer, make your own and be original.

Favorite outfit?
Anything that requires minimal clothing ha! Ripped jeans and a crocheted top with my lucky brown leather gladiators.
Any summer plans?
Buy a longboard, ride my mermaid green beach cruiser everywhere that I possibly can, pick fresh cherries and tomatoes at Solebury Orchard, go tubing, Bonnaroo and get a tan.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully engaged or married to the boy that I'm lucky to wake up next to (too sappy?). Working in environmental awareness or have my own vintage shop. Who knows?!
Thanks B!

First off, describe yourself in 5 words…
Creative, positive, nerdy, stylish and friendly!

What or who inspires you most and why?
Right now, I would say Gala Darling. She started out from nothing and has built her name as a brand. She's made a great job for herself out of just blogging which has snowballed to collaborating with top companies such like Coach or Betsey Johnson! It's always been my dream to have a job doing what I love, and I hope that one day I could be where she is with my own blog and online shop. She exudes this immense confidence and style. She isn't afraid to take fashion risks and always looks fabulous.

Whats your usual outfit?
Typically it's simple basics: a pair of dark navy skinny jeans paired with a cute top and accessories. I am also found most often in heels, no matter what I'm doing.
(I've attached a picture of a typical type of outfit I would wear, created with polyvore.)

Typical weekend?
Most weekends consist of going out with friends. We'll start off for dinner somewhere and transition to a bar or club for cocktails. When I'm not busy going out, I'm sitting at home with my pekingese Leo, writing blog posts or reading up on Elle & Vogue.

Any favorite books, movies, or bands?
- I LOVE Francesca Lia Block. I've been reading her books since junior high. Her book the Rose & the Beast is one of my favorites. On the complete opposite end of the spectrum (as far as lyrical writing goes) are the books by Tucker Max. I just finished his second book, Assholes Finish First, & it was hilarious. If you get offended easily or wouldn't enjoy reading about drunken adventures and sexual promiscuity, I wouldn't advise reading his work though. As for movies, Breakfast at Tiffany's is a favorite (as it is for most fashionistas/girls), and I also like Pineapple Express, Whip It and Nick & Nora's Infinite Playlist. My music taste varies from everything from Maroon 5 and Lady Gaga to Queen and Tom Petty.

What are your must have accessories for spring?
A colorful pair of sunglasses, a fancy pair of embellished sandals and pastel colored feather earrings (preferably pink!)

What dont you leave home without?
My BCBG bag. It holds basically everything I'll need including my Ipod, cell phone, wallet and lipgloss (among other things.)

Latest obsession?
Taking pictures! I've been trying to remember to take more pictures of things in my daily routine to post on my blog as well as to just capture moments in my life. Growing up, I was always taking pictures or enlisting friends of mine to pose as models for fashion photo shoots. I can't wait to get back into that.

Designer or non designer threads?
Both. I like to mix my pieces. Being a in my 20s fresh out of college, I don't have a ton of money to splurge on designer items, but when I do acquire high-end brands, I'll pair it with vintage, thrifted or inexpensive items. I wear a lot of vintage pieces that I get from my mom since she runs a vintage online store, http://www.memphisvintage.com.

Favorite outfit?
My navy skinnies, a cream colored Kenneth Cole scoop tee, a pink & white striped scarf, pink feather earrings and a faux croc clutch - all paired with sky high black pumps of course :)

Any summer plans?
I'll be working for the Tennessee Aquarium as a summer camp counselor. I work with children during the school year so working at a kid's camp during the summer is a perfect summer job. I'm hoping it will lead in to something permanent either within the aquarium education department or animal husbandry. I also plan to take a trip to the beach and to New Orleans at some point.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Hopefully where Gala is with a successful blog & store that can generate its own income that I can do on the side as well as having a job that allows me to work with animals. I received my B.S. in Biology with the intent to move into the animal sciences, so whether it's deciding to go to vet school or working at an animal shelter, zoo or aquarium, being able to work an animal environment would be ideal. Hopefully, I'll also be married with a kid :)
